The higher in altitude is Kedarnath at 3584 metres. Badrinath is at 3133 metres only.

 What is the age limit of yatris?

There is no fixed age limit for yatris. As the yatra will pass through high altitudes, and there is a lot walking therefore preferred age bracket is between 7-65 years of age.

Is registration required for Chardham Yatra?

Yes, registration and proper medical check up is required.

When Char Dham Temple Opens?

Gangotri and Yamunotri temples open every year on Akshay Tritya which falls during the last week of April or in mid May. The opening dates of Kedarnath ji are announced on Maha Shivratri day and Badrinath ji opening date is announced on Basant Panchmi day.

What are the darshan timings of the temples?

Yamunotri remains open from 06:00 AM to 08:00 PM., Gangotri temple timings are 06:15 AM to 09:30 PM., Kedarnath temple is open from 05:00 AM to 03:00 PM and Badrinath temple timings are 4:30 AM to 03:00 PM.
